Town, the beach corridor and Pacific Rim are different parts of your trip. Plan the last few kilometres as carefully as the journey to Vancouver Island.

Choose your base around transport

A central stay can reduce travel for meals and some tours. A beach stay can simplify surf time but may add journeys into town. Check walking distances, service stops and pickup arrangements for your exact address.

Transit and seasonal shuttles

Use Tourism Tofino’s current transport information to find regional transit and any seasonal shuttle service. Check operating dates, frequency, last departure and gear rules. A summer service shown in an old itinerary may not run during your visit.

Walking and cycling

Paths provide options for walking and cycling, but distances still matter when carrying gear or returning after dark. Pick a route suited to everyone in the group. For the national park pathway, consult Parks Canada’s guidance and current notices.

Parking at the beach

Use designated lots and read the current payment and time-limit signs. Municipal beach parking and national park entry are separate systems. If a lot is full, choose another stop instead of blocking a driveway or parking beside the highway.
